Yesterday afternoon we were all outside watching the kids in the play. For those of you that don't know we live on a street that dead ends and we are the last house on that dead end. There is a big open
field next to us and so all the kids on our street seam to gather in our front yard and play. I think because our kids or so over
spoiled and have way too many toys is why, but what ever reason is fine with me. I love
coming home from work with about 10 kids running around in my front yard. Anyway back to the story. Ronda (my mother in law) came over to watch Titan get off the bus from school. This is Titan's first year to ride the bus and the only reason I let him ride it is because it
stops right in front of our house. So here we are all outside. The two girls
across the street were over and playing. Josh
decided to get on top of the house because there was a dead bird up there and get it down. Titan, Wesley and the two girls all went to the back yard to see what was going on. Some how the kids ended up behind the storage
building and the next thing I know Wesley is screaming. He had gotten stung by a yellow jacket right on the end of his nose. I picked him up and ran him inside to get something on it and to calm him down. My
children seam to always scream about everything but this time I
completely understood. Well Ronda and Josh both followed me in and we were trying to
decide what to do to get the burning to stop. Wesley was setting on the kitchen
counter of
course still scream. He didn't want us to touch it at all. We keep telling him that we needed to look at it make sure the stinger was not in his nose somewhere . He finally let us look as long as we didn't touch it. A few seconds later still screaming - He starts seaming at the top of his lungs
"Daddy go kill them"
He scram this over and over. Of course we all started laughing, and he stopped scram and calmed down.
He then went outside and played and was fine. I asked him to come over one time so that I could look at it just to make sure it did not start swelling. I was setting on the ground in our garage and he came over. While I was looking at the sting spot (that is what he calls it) he said "Mommy you have spider webs in your nose." Nothing like a kid to point something out in front of people......
Anyway he is fine now and he even let me touch his sting spot this morning. We now know Wesley is not going to have any reaction to yellow jackets....
Have a blessed day!!!

Ouch! This HAD to hurt! I got stung once in between my fingers picking up a softball. I probably cried more than screamed though...I am a crier, as you well know.
